The End is Nigh
An article in The Times Sunday Magazine on October 16, 2005, entitled "Waiting for the lights to go out", pretty well sums up what I've been saying for the last 30 years. Scary.
Footnote, December 5th:
George Monbiot seems to have gotten the right idea too:
"And we find ourselves in an extraordinary position. This is the first mass political movement to demand less, not more. The first to take to the streets in pursuit of austerity. The first to demand that our luxuries, even our comforts, are curtailed."
